I am a woman, a mother, a hunter.

And an animal.

The creatures I have come to know through hunting and fishing in New Mexico, Alaska and beyond transformed me from the inside out. I am no longer merely a predator seeking food, but a humble listener in search of deeper understanding.

Offering an intimate glimpse into the distinct shapes, patterns and textures of the animal bodies and their home habitats, these fabrics and garments embody turkey, deer, elk, salmon and other wild beings and places I have grown to revere and respect. The all-natural fabrics, including silk, wool and cashmere, whose prints originate from photographs I have taken, evoke a sensory experience. The scaled skin and iridescent radiance of turkey, the glossy neon sheen of the roe and silvery skin of sockeye salmon, and the pulse of elk heart are digitally printed with vivid definition and clarity, bringing the animals and land to life.

Each piece in the collection tells a story of time, place, connection, and relationship. I invite you to wear this clothing as your own sumptuous second skin, to listen deeply to these animals and what wisdom they share about adaptation, reverence, and reciprocity. What can we humans give back to these animals and the water, plants, soil and air on which they depend? How may we live in right relationship, balancing our needs with theirs? Can we see them anew through the lens of fashion, celebrating our own animal nature alongside theirs?
